Now, I am nowhere near completely informed about the mosque at Ground Zero debate. But the more I look into it, it seems completely different than what people make it out to be. Apparently, it’s not going to be a legitimate mosque, instead a Muslim or Islamic community center. I know this cartoon may be slightly exaggerated with the drug dealers and such (because really, who’s going to do anything about that), but I think it does convey a good point. Don’t get me wrong, I can definitely see why many would get riled up about this. But I think it’s important to consider the facts first and try to see it through a different perspective; after all, isn’t that what’s been preached to us since we were kids?
